| We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home. - TWLOHA | | |
| well its raining and im sitting in monks reading the same book i have been reading forr the past month. someday i will get through it if i can find the time.
the job at monks has been put on hold for a couple weeks due to a full schedule and whatnot. i can be patient though. it really is cool being able to hang out at the place you work. not to mention the employee discounts on coffee. it is because of this that i sadly am forced to switch to decaf :(
my classes are awesome and i looking forward to all of them.
also, no chapel this semester. ill be working mornings here in a couple weeks.
also, the wii is awesome, that is all
| well the break has gone good so far other than the horrible sinus infecction. i went home for a few days to chill with the fam and go to a concert.
so the first day i got here was pretty cool. my dad wakes me up at like 815 to go eat breakfast with my aunt and uncle. i had no idea why we were meeting up with them so early in the morning, especially since they lived like an hour away from us. so naturally i was worried that something was up.
well as it turns out, the plane that my dad had been working on for about 10 years now was going to have its first flight as an F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. we sat around forever to wait for that thing to take off. when the plane left the runway i turned to my dad and said "there went your career".
there was a lot of tension while the plane was in the air. my dad was like, "im not gonna breath agian till the plane is on the ground". my uncle brought out his scanner so that we could listen to the pilot and the tower while they went through all of the tests. suddenly the pilot said he had a red light on the FCS (Flight Control System). so im kinda nervous cause im like "its goin down" and my dad had to reassure me that red lights are common on test flights. hence the name "test flight" and not just "Flight". he had told be that during the "highspeed taxi tests" they were having major problems with the brakes. but the plane landed smoothly and everyone cheered. over all the test flight was extremely successful.
this pic is of the plane while it was still the experimental X-35
so as of right now im sitting at the plano centre working an ivoryline show. they are co-headlining with eisley. it should be an awesome show. i love hanging out with these guys and good things just keep happening to them all the time. there are like 14 bands here and music started at 3. so if anyone in the dallas area has nothing to do, you should try to get out here and listen to a few good bands play.
well i go back to abilene tomorrow to pay bills and clean house. im also going to talk to the guys at monks about my hours. should be pretty cool working at monks. i just hope i can balance everything next semester.
anyways if anyone is still in abilene you should let me know. i have a projector at my house for the break on a good sound system so we should watch as many movies as we can.
ok well keep it real.

| well here i am sitting in denny's at 3 am working on finals. i am done with school tomorrrow! im pumped.
so i picked up a good book today that i havent seen in a long time and to be perfectly honest, had never really read, except for bits and pieces. so between studying i have been resting my mind on that of Dostoevski. has anyone ever read this book? i read the first chapter and fell in love with it. the first chapter was enough to get me hooked on it. its genius and i encourage anyone who wants to read a good book over the break to pick this one up. it will challenge you.
so in other news, im excited about going home forr a while and sleeping for the 5 weeks i have off. i thought this semester was bad but it looks like next semester could be just as bad if not worse. i got "Downstage Director" for sing song this year. so im going to have every night until after singsong full of sitting in on social club and class acts for sing song. on top of that is the canoe camping class, 3 jmc classes as well as one night class (in that order of imprortance)and also a job as the sound guy for the new sound system that is going in in the bean sprout next semester. the sound thing i am pretty excited about cause ill get professional training on how to use sound systems.
ok well im tired talking about myself. so ill leave you a question.
if you were any animal in the southern hemisphere, what would it be?
i would be a penguin. why? i dont know, sliding around on my gut all day just sounds like fun.

| ok so it has been a while since a posting on here. i think this was mainly due to the huge project/paper i have been working on. but now im back. let the lameness continue.
so the turkey was good. i basically spent the day stuffing my face and then working it off via unicycle. i unicycled for about 4 hours on thursday alone. why you ask? so i could ride in the parade of lights with about 20 other unicyclists in front of thousands of people. Aaron Bell, Garrett and I met downtown and rode unicycles infront of thousands of people with our uni's decked out in lights and whatnot. the ride was almost two miles, but was more for those who could actually turn left and ride in circles. i was great at riding in a straight line, however my turning skills need improvement.
anyways so today i did my first 5.10 while climbing in arlington. and while this was very painful and extremely hard, it was also totally awesome being able to hang from the ceiling and climb around on it. also, death cab for cutie is not bad for climbing music.
anyways, i think the rest of my semester is going to be pretty nice. the paper really was the worst part. i have 3 tests and then, freedom. so hanging out shall consume the majority of my time for the rest of the semester. i am very happy about this.
hope everyone had a happy use the indians and then steal their land day! i know i did!
